Winter Bike

It’s nearly Thanksgiving, and I don’t know what that means where you live, but up here in MN that means that it’s time to break out the winter bike. To carry me through the brutality of the Minnesota winter I’ve assembled the new/old bike pictured below. Dependability is key when the weather goes below freezing, and the wheels on this bike have all that and then some. They were built by some of the Handspun builders quite a few years ago, and while neither of these wheels is flashy to look at, they are a testament to the longevity of a well built wheel. * The front is an Ultegra hub, 32h, on a Mavic MA40 rim, w/DT Champion spokes & brass nipples- this wheel is over 10 years old * The rear is a Suzue track hub, 36h, on a Mavic MA3 rim, w/DT Champion spokes & brass nipples- this wheel is 8 years old

Both of these wheels started out as standard production wheels; not customs, nothing that was given extra special attention, just our standard well built wheels. By taking quality components and putting them in the hands of an experienced builder, you end up with a finished product that will really stand the test of time. Use your lights, ride safe. David C.
